Former Marine Corps tactical pilot and legal officer. Retired Delta Air Lines Captain. Former Educator in Industrial Technology.
In my "other lives", in addition to piloting, my collateral duties always involved safety, accident investigations, and legal matters. My experience in law school introduced me to the practice of accident reconstruction litigation. I found it more interesting to investigate and reconstruct the events "hands on", than to push paper and live the dormant life at a desk; cases rarely go to trial where the action is.
Therefore, applying everything required of me in the Marine Corps, Delta Airline Pilots Central Air Safety Committee, and my Industrial Technology Education teaching experience, I put together Crash Scene Recon, LLC as a professional practice. I do not carry a heavy case load. This allows a client to get "more bang for a buck", as I can stay focused on a case and not stray in thought. However, I do, on occasion, take on other personal injury work if I feel I can win the case for the client - I like to win.
The most amazing thing I've learned is how to apply the aviation accident investigation/reconstruction methods to the automotive accident world. I've found this an advantage over other "experts". The legal background helps my writing to be forensic. The writing is styled in good format to assist a case, or remain neutral; whatever the situation demands. The most fun is rebutting an "expert" report. I like to win.
I have a Resume I can send on request. Also, my full Curriculum Vitae (for Expert Witness work) is available if desired. I am not big on social media. A good attorney can "eat you alive" on the stand as an expert witness if one is "too social" on social media.
I love my work, and I love to win. My land line is the best contact number because I do not answer, talk, or text when driving. Can the reader guess why...?
